I chose the theme of "trapped" not only physically but emotionally. I thought the hands and hourglass was a good representation of that feeling. I chose the hourglass because it represents the slow passing of time during this pandemic. I chose to draw the outside pictures for example the fish, clouds, birds and greenery for a couple of reasons. I wanted to symbolize that I'm trapped inside and the things I drew represent whats going on outside. The other reason I chose these specific things was to highlight some of the positives that are happening in the world coming out of this pandemic. For example there is much more wildlife, they found fish coming back to the canals in Venice Italy, the water is cleaner and the pollution levels are low. I tried to represent the negative vs the positive in my piece.
