Eternally Internal

Adriana DeGasperis

Grade 10 RAP Visual Art

8.5 x 11 inches, pencil crayons and acrylic paint on paper

This piece represents the overwhelming feelings that are brought on by the current pandemic. Personally, I've been dealing with a lot of self-analysis due to the amount of time I've had to reflect lately. The distance from others has forced me to ask myself hard questions, and to really be honest with myself about who I am and who I want to be. My struggle has mostly been internalized and the contemplation has caused a lot of inner conflict. The reflection of the galaxy onto the screaming face in my piece represents the effects of this situation on me as a person. The face shouts into the void because it has no where else to do so. My battle is as much internal as it is external and my piece speaks to that feeling.
